Lisa K. Hays Talks Favorite Furniture and Decor Brands

Name your favorite furniture and décor brands to work with. What makes them so special?

Every designer has a few favorite lines. Here are mine: Marge Carson and Hancock & Moore for furnishings; lighting from Fine Art Lamps, Luna Bella and Currey and Co.; and John-Richard for those all-important finishing touches.

These companies deliver quality design, materials and workmanship in a way that makes their products not only functional but extraordinary. Working with top-shelf product lines makes my projects thoroughly enjoyable. I'm just as excited as clients are when their new pieces arrive. With Marge Carson, a sofa can be simply a sofa, or it can be a sofa that floats in the middle of a large space and features about 110 buttons that look like they are covered with pave diamonds! Every room needs to be a bit extraordinary, and these are a few companies that I use to make that happen.
