Designed by world-renown architect, Jean Nouvel, the recently finished MoMA Tower is sure to be a millionaire magnet.
Starting at the end of this week, several units in the swanky building located at 53 West 53rd Street will officially be on the market. As of right now, a one-bedroom can go for $3.17 million, while a four-bedroom can fetch for $50.9 million.
“The buzz surrounding this building has been extraordinary,” said Pam Liebman, CEO of The Corcoran Group, the firm marketing the MoMA Tower.
Described as “one of the most architecturally significant buildings ever to be built in New York,” the MoMA Tower, the first skyscraper by Jean Nouvel to be built in New York, is the size of the Chrysler Building. It stands at 1,050 feet. The building is comprised of 82 stories and features full-floor apartments and duplexes, with some being accompanied by private elevators.
According to Curbed, those living in the MoMA Tower will be given a Benefactor W53 membership, which will include unlimited free admission to the neighboring Museum of Modern Art, advance film screenings, exhibition previews, MoMA Store discounts, and an invite to the MoMA's annual Benefactor Luncheon, among other things. Another perk of living at the luxury residential development would be having access to a dining room overlooking Central Park, a 65-foot lap pool, a wellness center, a private screening room, a gallery, a wine cellar, a playroom, a gym, a squash court, and a golf simulator.
