Just around the corner from her current swanky residence, two-time Oscar winner, Hilary Swank’s former West Village townhouse was recently listed for just short of $12 million, the New York Post reported.
She now owns an apartment in the same New York City neighborhood, in the Superior Ink building on West 12th Street, as well as homes in Los Angeles and Paris.
Swank and her then-husband, actor and director Chad Lowe, bought the townhouse for $3.9 million in 2002. After the couple’s divorce in 2006, they listed it on the market for $8.25 million.
Designed with modern touches, the 3,336-square-foot home, with three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, is picture-perfect, with a 17-by-30-foot garden in the backyard.
The kitchen is equipped with a six-burner Wolf cook top with two ovens and an exhaust fan above; a 55-inch-wide Subzero fridge; and two Bosch dishwashers.
In the ivy-covered garden, which is accessed through the kitchen, there is a Weber grill for outdoor entertaining.
The loft-like parlor floor features 11-foot ceilings.
Floor-to-ceiling steel casement doors and windows open from the library/media room to a terrace, with steps leading down to the garden.
The master bedroom has a windowed walk-in closet (which can double as a nursery or office), double sinks, a toilet closet, and a stall shower and soaking tub.
On the top floor, there are two bedrooms and a family room.
The listing at 33 Charles St. is held by Robert Browne, Chris Kann, and Jennifer Ireland Kubis of Corcoran Group Real Estate.
