“X-Files” Star David Duchovny Chooses $6.25-Million Upper West Side Apartment

Anyone who has ever been apartment hunting in Manhattan knows that it can be a long, drawn-out, grueling experience, and it was no different for "X-Files" and "Californication" star David Duchovny, who finally settled on a $6.25-million Upper West Side apartment after months of searching.

There's a catch though: before Duchovny can get his hands on the house keys, he'll need to pass The Ardsley's board, which rejected Mariah Carey in 1999 when she tried to buy Barbara Streisand's penthouse.

But even though Duchovny may have to charm his way into the co-op board, we're sure the three-bedroom, three-bathroom corner apartment featuring a private elevator, wood-burning fireplace, and terrace with sweeping views of Central Park is more than worth it.
