Tommy Hilfiger’s Extravagant Golden Beach Residence Is Now Asking $23.5 Million

Few abodes are as lavish, eccentric and downright bewitching as Tommy Hilfiger’s residence in upscale Golden Beach. And the best part, yet – it can be yours for $23.5 million.

The roughly 14,000-square-foot mansion, whose backyard morphs into the ocean, is among the priciest in Golden Beach, even after a recent price drop of $4 million from its original $27.5 million.

A giant canvas of 1970s pop-art designs, the home has harbored the fashion mogul and his wife Dee Ocleppo’s extensive art collection, which has been reported to include pieces by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Marc Quinn, Damien Hirst and Bert Stern.

The residence, whose splendor filled the pages of Architectural Digest in late 2016, is a true piece of art in itself, ingeniously designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard to reflect the sensitivities of legends like Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.

The 7-bedroom, 12-bathroom home features a geometric black-and-white kitchen, a crimson-red home theater, a red-white-and-blue fitness/game room, a living room carpeted by a hair-on-hide rug, several guest quarters covered in fruity scratch-and-sniff wallpapers, and a sinuous staircase anchored by a giant, glimmering statue of Micky Mouse.

Hilfiger and his wife purchased the property in 2013 for a little over $17 million. Back then, The Jills, Florida’s top luxury real estate team as ranked by WSJ, sold the estate to the couple. Today, Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber are the listing agents for 605 Ocean Boulevard once again.

“The home will attract a buyer with impeccable taste who appreciates luxurious finishes, who will enjoy the different spaces that the home offers such as the movie theatre, built-in bar area right off the formal dining room, the multiple guest apartments and of course the oceanfront playground they have at their fingertips,” said Hertzberg.

Despite the wow-factor floor plan, which can feel more like a dazzling showcase of upscale furniture and finishes than a family home, it can still exude a sense of privacy and intimacy. Especially so in the splendid master bedroom and backyard, which vie for the top spot on Hertzberg’s list of favorite home spaces.

“In the backyard you can relax and reflect, enjoy a day in the pool or beachside with your kids or even entertain 200 guests,” she said. “The master bedroom is tied for my favorite, because it overlooks the beautiful blue ocean and offers so many amenities – a separate living area, his and hers bathrooms and walk-in closets, an office and a balcony with a spa that boasts million-dollar views.”

A one-of-a-kind, rare-to-find house, which seems to harbor an architectural likeness to its famed owner’s vision, 605 Ocean Boulevard “will attract someone who wants to have fun and live a wonderful life,” said Hertzberg.
