The Related Group has transformed the prized waterfront site between the Design District and downtown Miami into its newest canvas for modern and innovative luxury living.
The firm's first installment on the five bay-front acres in East Edgewater was Paraiso Bay, an extremely modern residential offering a slew of amenities, including a boutique beach club, heated swimming pools, pool-side cabanas, an outdoor and indoor spa, a jogging circuit, a wine cellar, a cigar lounge, a fitness center, and more.
A highly successful endeavor, Paraiso Bay's interiors will be designed by London-based company United Designers, helmed by Keith Hobbs, whose clients include the likes of George Clooney, Bruce Willis, and U2. The gleaming structure will soon be accompanied by a second tower, One Paraiso by Piero Lissoni—a 53-story, 276-unit tower designed by Arquitectonica, whose units will be priced in the $600 to $700 per square foot range.
Four "Paraiso" towers are planned in total, and are meant to embody the exquisite work of world-class designers and architects, backed by a development firm whose aim is "to create an urbanist's paradise of equal parts luxury and lifestyle." Among the handpicked renowned designers is Karim Rashid, who will be responsible for designing Paraiso Bayviews.
The exclusive Edgewater community will also tout a brilliant new restaurant and beach club, courtesy of James Beard Award winner Michael Schwartz. Designed by Brazilian interior designer and architect Debora Aguiar, the beach club will offer residents decadent waterfront dining and activities, including jet skiing, paddle boarding, and an in-house Paraiso boat on which they can sail the Biscayne waters.
“Each member of the design team we’ve assembled believes that the sum of the individual elements will add up to a single, spectacular whole,” said Carlos Rosso, president of The Related Group’s condominium division. “Our plan is to transform this five-acre gem of a property into the epicenter of Edgewater where everyone wants to be, next to the Design District and Midtown.”
The awesome project has already attracted a number of A-listers, including DJ and music producer David Guetta, tennis champion Arantxa Sánchez Vicario, and NBA star Manu Ginóbili.
