Recently, Peninsula Papagayo had its opening day of sales for its newest development – the Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The newest Ritz Reserve has been given the name Nekajui, which is the Chorotega word for garden. With Peninsula Papagayo’s commitment to integrating a refined living experience into the breathtaking Costa Rican landscape, the name could not be more fitting.
Held in late January, the resort's opening day saw just under $160 million in sales. The impressive figure marks a record-breaking amount within the peninsula’s real estate market, an exciting milestone for both Peninsula Papagayo and its clients. With prices for Nekajui residences ranging from $3.5 million to $15 million, the resort offers no shortage of options for the luxury-minded buyer.
Speaking on the new development, Donald McGregor, managing director of Miami-based Gencom and the developer and co-owner of Peninsula Papagayo, said, “The pairing of Peninsula Papagayo and Ritz-Carlton Reserve is a powerful real estate vision whose time has finally come.”
Set for completion in the summer of 2024, the Nekajui resort has been designed with nature enthusiasts and adventurers in mind — for those with a desire to escape the trappings of everyday life, Peninsula Papagayo’s newest development is just the ticket.
Nekajui will mark the fourth eco-luxury centered residence developed by Peninsula Papagayo and will border the awe-inspiring, 350,000 acre Guanacaste Conservation Area. With this natural wonder-of-the-world as a neighbor, residents will be given the unique opportunity to explore and enrich themselves with one of the defining aspects of the peninsula’s culture.
Residents and guests can also look forward to accessing Peninsula Papagayo’s new multi-purpose sports complex. Slated to open in 2023, the complex will include a natural amphitheater, a water park with a wave simulator, a dog park, a 25-meter pool, and tennis courts, among other exciting amenities.
"We are taking full advantage of Peninsula Papagayo's unique geography and irreplaceable infrastructure to create the ultimate coastal retreat and legacy for the next generation of members,” said McGregor.
Inside the resort, two, three, and five-bedroom residences are still available for prospective buyers, with prices ranging from $3.5 million to over $14 million. The residences comprise an area of 2200-5200 sq. ft., with most of the homes equipped with large terraces and a private swimming pool. The homes come professionally furnished and are ready for clients upon arrival. Full access to both the Nekajui and Peninsula Papagayo’s amenities and services is also provided to owners. Offering no shortage of luxurious options, buyers will have no trouble finding a home that satisfies their own unique comforts, a reflection of the Ritz-Carlton Reserve standard.
