Editor's Note: Joni DiMino of The Karas Group joined us for a Q&A about the latest on the Phoenix and Paradise Valley, AZ real estate market.

What do you ask clients to not have displayed when showing their homes for sale?

I ask clients to declutter their homes. Think “staged but lived in”. If you have a paper towel holder and a soap on your kitchen island, please tuck them away under the sink for a showing. Replace them with fresh flowers instead.

How did the second quarter of 2020 real estate perform in your market?

Greater Phoenix June sales across all price points were very strong over April and May and even beat out our previous record set in March. Lots of people are considering and making Arizona their new home.

Is it currently a buyer or seller’s market in your market?

Demand is high and inventory is low, which makes for a seller’s market. We are seeing above list and even multiple offers, in some cases.

What do you love about the housing market in your market?

I enjoy the fact that my clients come from all over the United States and from a variety of professions and backgrounds. I’ve lived all over the US, so I especially love it when I can make a connection with buyers from the same cities.
