Rutherford Place at Stuyvesant Square, a collection of unique condominium residences, recently announced the sale of a three-bedroom, two-bath triplex for $2.74 million, according to Cantor-Pecorella, the exclusive sales and marketing firm for the building.

The renowned 10-story building—designed in 1902 by noted period architect R.H. Robertso and gifted to the city by J.P. The new tenants of the expansive 1,809-square-foot condominium will enjoy a large terrace off the master bedroom, in addition to the high-end contemporary finishes, fixtures, and appliances featured in all of Rutherford's renovated homes. The kitchen boasts a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, Viking range, honed granite countertops, and Poggenpohl European walnut cabinetry, while the bathrooms have Koehler Chablis pedestal sinks, white Italian porcelain tiles, and charcoal grey granite floors. Building amenities include a full-time doorman, bicycle room, gym, and landscaped roof deck open to all residents.

At Rutherford, no two apartments are exactly alike. Most residences are duplex or triplex with ceilings up to 17 feet, and feature oversized windows as high as 10 feet. A number of apartments also feature French doors and private patios, many with breathtaking views of Stuyvesant Square—a spectacular four-acre park surrounded by a beautiful cast iron fence. The park bears striking similarities to nearby Gramercy Park, but unlike Gramercy it has always been open to the public.
