Pixar's Ed Catmull selling this California estate

Pixar co-founder and Walt Disney Animation president Ed Catmull has placed his palatial California estate on the market.

The six bedroom, eight bath mansion on three quarters of an acre in Kentfield, CA is about 45 minutes from San Francisco. It trims out at nearly 9,000 square feet and hit the market mid-April for $10.9 million.

The 76 year-old mansion features white interior walls and ceilings contrasted by dark hardwood floors throughout. It has a gourmet kitchen with the finest appliances, a master suite with a walk in closet and a vintage ceramic tub in the master bath. It also includes cutting edge home technology.

Upstairs, there's access to the patio which offers splendid views of Mt. Tamalpais and the Marin Range as a background to the beautifully landscaped property outside which includes a garden pool and water slide.

Built for entertaining, the estate has a seven car auto court with parking underground for two more cars. A home fitting a studio executive, it also features a home office and library.

Ed Catmull's Pixar Pictures has produced more than a dozen feature films and has been a leader in computer generated animation. It's the studio that brought Toy Story, Finding Nemo and Cars to the silver screen.
