A marvelous mansion previously owned by late businessman Harvey S. Firestone Jr. has been purchased for $11.65 million by spirits connoisseur John Paul DeJoria, The Wall Street Journal reported.

DeJoria, who founded Patrón Spirits and co-founded hair care brand John Paul Mitchell Systems, bought the Gilded Age estate, known as “Ocean Lawn,” with his daughter Alexis DeJoria, a professional racecar driver.

Situated on roughly 6.7 oceanfront acres in Newport, Rhode Island, the gated, Queen Ann-style residence, built around 1889––according to public records sourced by The Wall Street Journal––was listed in March 2016 for $18.5 million. Its price tag was reduced to $15 million before DeJoria and his daughter bargained for the final sale price of $11.65 million.

Measuring roughly 16,200 square feet, the 13-bedroom estate includes a swimming pool and an approximately 660-square-foot children’s playhouse, as well as his-and-hers libraries (his paneled in oak and hers in pine) on either side of the entry foyer, among other property luxuries.

Firestone Jr., who was the son of the founder of Firestone Tire & Rubber, and his wife Elizabeth purchased the home in the 1950s, says listing agent Melanie Delman of Lila Delman Real Estate International. According to public records, Eugene Conese, founder of Greenwich Air Services, and his wife Anna May, bought the home in 2000 for $6.6 million.

DeJoria’s new home in Newport comes shortly after he sold his Texas ranch, which he named “Patron de Paz” after his spirits brand, for $6.93 million.
