Japanese design studio Nendo just unveiled this gorgeous line of wood grain-patterned chairs, featuring a wood grain printed over natural timber. The collection was designed with their Milan solo show in mind, and it offers six chairs each with a different wood and printed wood grain overlapping.
According to Dezeen, “The Print-chairs feature two square wooden panels atop four legs connected by two pieces of interlocking metal. The simplicity of the design highlights the intricate series of patterns the Japanese studio has printed onto the seat and back rest of the chairs.”
In all cases, Nendo prints an enlargement of a grain found in another wood atop another very evident natural grain to create unique contrast.
