Based on the iconic “Karate Kid” film series, “Cobra Kai” is a modernized version of its source inspiration as a martial arts comedy drama with fresh faces but also stars original cast members Ralph Macchio and William Zabka. The successful YouTube turned Netflix series has been making news with the renewal of its fifth season and is now offering fans a glimpse into the Karate world with a fictional residence from the show now available as a real-life rental. The family home of Ralph Macchio’s character, Daniel LaRusso, was featured in seasons one through three and in real life, the property located in suburban Marietta, Georgia. Recently, the residence was listed on the market at $2.4 million and now, it is reported that the new owners will rent out the mansion as an Airbnb. Although details specific to the Airbnb residence is not publicly available yet, nearby properties are often rented at a range from $99 to $2,700. In regards to this home, listing broker Chad Carrodus claimed, “The Karate Kid/Cobra Kai franchise is multigenerational and has such a passionate fanbase. People come from across the world to see the LaRusso Mansion.”

Built in 2008, this iconic cinematic residence is a Mediterranean-style mansion offering 9,200-square-feet. The interior layout features six bedrooms and six baths, one uniquely reminiscent of Roman ruins. The kitchen was highlighted in season three of “Cobra Kai” in a scene when Daniel (Ralph Macchio) helps his daughter, Sam (Mary Mouser), with her PTSD. The same fully equipped arrangement remains with a Wolf stove, 48-inch subzero refrigerator, two Bosch dishwashers, and a wood fire pizza oven. The lavish space also boasts a “man cave,” au pair suite, wet bar, and three fireplaces. Structural elements of the home that also offer aesthetic notes include a terra-cotta roof, two-story glass atrium, cathedral ceilings, and arched windows and doorways. Stepping outside, the exterior highlights a hot tub, al fresco dining area, outdoor fireplace, and koi pond. Additionally, the lush landscape features a greenhouse, apple trees, fig trees, pear trees, and azaleas.
