Makeup entrepreneur, Laura Mercier, creator of the self-named cosmetics brand, has listed her downtown New York City condominium for $11.15 million, Mansion Global reported.
Mercier, who is returning to France to expand her brand throughout Europe, bought the two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom unit at Chelsea’s Walker Tower for $5.9 million in 2013.
Measuring roughly 2,168 square feet, the 16th-floor residence boasts natural lighting, as well as breathtaking views of the Empire State Building, through floor-to-ceiling windows, the listing states.
The makeup artist says she uses a large white table in the living room of her condo for testing different products.
Marble and limestone countertops, Dornbracht fixtures, a wine cooler, an induction cooktop, two Viking wall ovens, a built-in Miele coffee maker, and a Franke Water Filtration System outfit the kitchen.
With four closets, including two walk-ins, the master suite measures 20 by 18 feet. The en suite bathroom has a cast iron tub, and a steam shower. All of the bathrooms feature custom marble detailing.
Additional apartment features include radiant floor heating, French herringbone oak flooring, a Crestron Home Automation System, a humidification system, and a ventilation system.
Completed in 1929, Walker Tower was an Art Deco-style office building before it was converted to a luxury condominium tower––with Mercier being one of the first buyers.
In 2014, a penthouse at Walker Tower set a record as the most expensive home sale ($50.9 million) in downtown Manhattan.
One of Mercier’s homes in Provence, an 18th-century castle, is for sale for €3.5 million ($4,075,575). She says she will keep a smaller residence in New York for when she visits.
The listing at 212 West 18th St. is held by Vickey Barron of the Corcoran Group.
