Last year, David Beckham and his wife, Victoria Beckham, purchased a penthouse at One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects. That news was soon followed by another soccer star, World Cup champion Paul Pogba, who also purchased a unit at the exoskeleton skyscraper in Downtown Miami.

South Florida real estate has been the hottest destination for the affluent and celebrities of film, TV and sports alike over the past couple of years, but especially since the pandemic started. The captain of Argentina's national team and FC Barcelona is relocating (temporarily or permanently?) to Miami after buying an entire floor at the Regalia condominium in Sunny Isles Beach in Miami-Dade County. The world's third highest-paid athlete reportedly shelled out $7.3 million for the fully-furnished ninth floor unit that includes four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, 2,100 square feet of terrace space, and a wine room that holds 1,000 bottles.
