In 2002, Jack and Alison Schneider purchased a townhouse property just off of Fifth Avenue East, one of the most desirable locations in New York. When the pair purchased the property, they paid a low $8.25 million for the place. At that point, it was little more than an empty shell.
A decade later, the Schneider family has transformed the once 9,759-square-foot property into a work of art, expanding it to 13,048 square feet featuring four bedrooms, five full baths and five half bathrooms. The $33.5 million home also boasts a minimum of six fireplaces, four interior staircases and a staff suite in the cellar that includes a private kitchen and dining room and two small bedrooms complete with their own private bathrooms.
Everything under the roof is up-to-date, including the security system and tech controls for audio, temperature, lighting and telephones throughout the manse.
