The swanky Manhattan duplex penthouse owned by fashion mogul, Serge Azria, is on the market for $17.3 million, Mansion Global reported, making it the first penthouse resale at 443 Greenwich St., where countless celebrities such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Justin Timberlake, and Jessica Biel have bought residences.
Azria, CEO and creative director for brands including Joie, Equipment, and Current/Elliot, as well as the brother of Max Azria, who founded BCBG Max Azria, bought the unit via a limited liability company for $14.3 million in February, after signing a presale contract in November 2015, according to property records. If it sells at the asking price, he will make a $3 million profit.
Listing agents Fredrik Eklund, John Gomes, Julia Spillman, and Adam Widener of Douglas Elliman said that the seller bought the penthouse as an investment.
Azria also snagged a $9.4 million penthouse at 60 White St. in Tribeca last year, according to the New York Post.
Encompassing 3,417 square feet across the top two floors of the building, with a 1,100-square-foot outdoor terrace, the residence is accessed via a keyed elevator that stops on both floors.
A custom-paneled foyer leads to the great room, dining room, and kitchen, featuring wide-plank white oak floors, all on the main level, surrounded by six windows.
There are two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, in addition to the master bedroom, which has two walk-in closets and a master bathroom lined in Calcutta marble, and a tub with a hand-polished graphite-marble accent wall.
Overlooking the building’s 4,000-square-foot landscaped courtyard, the second and third bedrooms are outfitted with antiqued bronze hardware and fittings.
Black steel is wrapped around vertical beams in the great room, and there is polished concrete flooring in the glass atrium, which opens up to the rooftop terrace, equipped with a kitchen and barbecue, as well as lounge areas.
The building features a plethora of amenities, such as a 71-foot indoor lap pool, a fitness center with private studios, a climate controlled wine cellar, an underground parking garage, a 5,000-square-foot landscaped roof deck, and a 24-hour concierge service, among many other exclusivities, according the property website.
