Donna Karan and her daughter Gabby have purchased Bridgehampton’s Enclave Inn with the intention of renovating it to their fashionable standards.
Once owned by Alexis Stewart (daughter to Martha Stewart), the hotel features ten rooms, a pool and 1.5 acres. It needs some work…a tennis court, perhaps…but it has loads of potential. The pair purchased the hotel for around $2.69M.
The Enclave Hotel was first opened in 1999 and has been renovated since then, but the space needs a little love to achieve its top potential.
The Karan’s have always loved the Hamptons, and Donna Karan told New York Daily News, “For me, summers have always been about the beach — the sky and ocean, the white clouds, rich sands, the wind playing on fabric,” she wrote. “Everywhere I look I find inspiration. As a New Yorker, my home in East Hampton represents the calm in the chaos of city living. The house is always filled with family and friends, taking long walks, barbecuing and being near, in or on the water.”
