Recognized as a Historic-Cultural Monument, the estate was originally built in 1909 on Wilshire Boulevard in what is now Koreatown, and it was moved in 1930 to its current location on three-quarters of an acre.

The seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom residence, with 9,708 square feet of living space, was designed by Sumner Hunt of Hunt, Eager & Burns.

It has since been restored and features handcrafted mahogany doors, painted and beamed ceilings, and six wood-burning fireplaces. A wood-paneled foyer leads to a formal living room, a dining room, a den, a family room, and a wet bar. The kitchen is centered around a wide, marble island. There is a game room on the third floor.

A meditation pond, a pool, and a large outdoor fireplace are located outside.

The listing was held by Jonah Wilson of Hilton & Hyland, an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate. Wesley Earley of John Aaroe Group represented the buyer.
