“The Naples Lifestyle” is a term that residents and visitors of Southwest Florida hear a lot about. But what exactly is it that makes this area a magnet for some of the world’s wealthiest people? And can the “lifestyle” be attainable to everyone? We talked with one of Naples’ top-producing Realtors, Dante DiSabato, to find out what makes Naples so special.
We hear a lot about the Naples lifestyle. How do you describe it?
The Naples lifestyle is priceless. There are so many things to do here. Currently, I’m looking outside and it is 75 degrees not a cloud in the sky and it’s two days before Thanksgiving. What more could someone want? On top of that, we have world-class golf courses, clubs, restaurants, dining, shopping, entertainment, and beaches. There truly isn’t a place that I have been that has incorporated all of these factors—and I travel a lot.
The demographics of Naples seem to be skewing younger every year. What do you attribute that to?
I feel that I am either getting older or yes, there are more and more younger people attracted to Naples. There is more of a nightlife that appeals to both the younger and older crowds, and I would say Naples will continue to grow with more and more restaurants and bars opening to attract a younger late-night crowd. It is also very safe and clean and more people want to be here for that over other places in Florida. It really is a great place to raise a family.

Can you talk a bit about the outdoor activities that people can experience in the area?
Where do I begin? First and foremost, we have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We also have amazing golf, numerous tennis clubs and public courts, great biking, boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. There is an activity for anyone and everyone. And does shopping count? We have some spectacular outdoor shopping centers with world-class stores. There’s a reason Naples has been named America’s Happiest and Healthiest City four years in a row!
What are the options in the area for golf lovers?
We are considered the Golf Capital of the World thanks to the fact that we have more golf holes per capita than anywhere else. And though we don’t have a lot of public courses, there is probably a private country club within half a mile of everywhere in Naples. The Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club is public, and there is also Raptor Bay that is also public just North of Naples. However, if you come to Naples hit me up and I’ll take you out!
In Old Naples specifically, what are the type of properties available and what is the price range for options?
Our Market Report just came out and inventory went down tremendously and increased pending sales went up by 24%. Our season is right around the corner and it has already started heating up. Old Naples specifically has about 60 homes for sale currently and about 70 condos listed. That is low for our inventory coming into the season. Price points range for single-families start at around $1.5 million and head up to about $10 million. Condos Are $300,000 and up.
