A prestigious art-filled property in East Hampton has hit the market—with a starting price tag of $24.9 million. While a corporation officially owns the property, it was tracked down to being connected to famous art-loving couple Rachel and Jean-Pierre Lehmann, who are connected to the high-ranking art world.
The Lehmann couple is most famous in New York, but they have built a name for themselves amongst art enthusiasts worldwide. Rachel Lehmann is a NYC gallerist while Jean-Pierre is a collector of contemporary art.
The East Hampton property was originally built in 1915 and was designed by William Bottomley. It is approximately 6,000 square feet and includes six bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, seven fireplaces, and neighbors a property owned by art notable Larry Gagosian.
The property was renovated in 2009 to blend the classical appearance of the original mansion and the modern conveniences expected by the rich and famous. The lovely space includes a selection of artwork, a swimming pool, and a spacious landscaped yard.
