Brooklyn Artists Ball Honors Jenny Holzer, Kehinde Wiley and Ai Weiwei

On April 16th, 2014, the Brooklyn Museum celebrated art patrons Jenny Holzer, Kehinde Wiley and Ai Weiwei with an exclusive and glamorous gala event!

Guests were immediately greeted by the detailed work of 20 artists in the museum’s vaulted reception area, and they were also invited to take part in the event’s silent auction via Artsy booths. All of the auction’s proceeds went to support the Brooklyn Museum.

The Ball featured private showings of the artists’ gallery space and custom-designed interactive tables by Ellen Altfest, Oliver Clegg, Ghost of a Dream, Rico Gatson, Orly Genger, Alejandro Guzman, Nina Katchadourian, Olek, Adam Parker Smith, Iona Rozeal Brown, Carrie Schneider, Alyson Shotz, Courtney Smith, Nick Van Woert, Marianne Vitale, Heeseop Yoon and Jeremy Couillard. Post-event festivities included a dance party with rapper/producer Le1f and DJ Brenmar with an accompanying interactive dessert art installation by Flour Shop.
