In January of 2016, the celebrity couple purchased their Beverly Hills estate for $14.1 million. The property had previously been home to singer and pop culture icon Rihanna. After several years of residence, Legend and Teigen listed the California abode on the market for a whopping $23.95 million in August of last year. When the steep asking price failed to attract prospective buyers, the cost was reduced to $17.7 million. Roughly a week after its initial listing, a deal had been proposed but ultimately fell through. This reportedly caused the marketing momentum for this property to come to a halt. Recently though, an offer of $16.8 million was made and the residence was finally sold, although at $7.15 million below its initial asking price. The buyer is a private-equity executive but wishes to remain anonymous. Marshall Peck of Douglas Elliman represented the listing for this property.

Located in beautiful Beverly Hills, California, Legend and Teigen’s former residence spans 8,500 square feet and includes seven bedrooms. The home’s structural and interior design emulates Chrissy’s Southeast Asian culture with decorative elements of teak wood detailing and a hand-carved wood ceiling imported from Thailand. The celebrity duo redesigned the home and revamped the kitchen to include professional level equipment for Chrissy who is a cookbook author. Upstairs, the primary bedroom features a brass-and-concrete fireplace, balcony, beauty room, and designer closets which the listing agent describes as “evocative of a Chanel showroom.” Stepping outside, the exterior grounds of the home offer a heated saltwater pool, Jacuzzi, wood-burning oven, and pergola.
