Tyra Banks—model and host of the popular reality series "America's Top Model"—is selling her 2,000-square-foot apartment for $3.795 million, having reportedly purchased it in 2005 for $2.103 million.
The elegant apartment—located at 225 Lafayette in the fashionable Soho/Nolita area—was close to Banks' heart; according to the NY Daily News, her spokesperson commented that “Tyra believes Nolita is one of the most fun, immersive, electric, trendy areas and loved living amongst the best new restaurants and shops. She relished going down her elevator being mere steps away from her fave breakfast haunts.”
Drenched in natural light, the apartment has two bedrooms, two baths, and a study, along with a fabulous entertaining area, chef’s kitchen, and dining room. Large picture windows overlook stunning panoramic New York City views.
A proper entry foyer leads into a fabulous entertaining area, and the open chef’s kitchen boasts top of the line appliances. The master suite has an enormous walk-in customized closet (fit for a top model), a luxurious spa-like bathroom with a separate shower and soaking tub, and a separate windowed office/study area.
A second bedroom with en suite bath is perfectly placed and private for guests. Other design features enhancing the home's beauty include Brazilian mahogany wood floors, and window seats in living room, dining room, and master bedroom.
225 Lafayette is a full-service condominium with a full time doorman and a fabulous roof deck, and this apartment is certainly fashionable enough for any top model.
