Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence—who starred in The Hunger Games, Silver Linings Playbook, and American Hustle— has scooped up Jessica Simpson's Beverly Hills home for $7 million.
The five-bedroom, six-bath Hamptons-inspired traditional—whose former residents include Ellen DeGeneres, Paul Hogan, and Hollywood powerhouse Rick Yorn—was custom-built in 1991, and recently renovated by Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture. Simpson reportedly bought the Hidden Valley property in 2005 for $5.275 million.
The Kerry Joyce-designed house has crown and base moldings, high ceilings, and 5,500 square feet of living space, with a commercial-grade kitchen boasting a stainless steel sink and expansive wooden top.
The home's charming dining room overlooks a garden, while its central living area boasts a fireplace and multiple sets of French doors, allowing for sweeping views of the outdoor grounds.
The master suite—which opens up to a terrace—is fit for the Hollywood star, with its overstuffed, luxurious bed, opulent chandelier, cozy sitting area, and glamorous dressing table.
The home also features a media room, where Lawrence can watch recordings of the Academy Awards.
Jennifer Lawrence—who recently suffered the embarrassment of having hundreds of suggestive photos leaked online—will surely appreciate the privacy of her beautiful new backyard and tree-lined lap pool.
Another highlight of the enchanting outdoor space is a courtyard with ivy-laden walls, plantings between pavers, and a beautiful koi pond and fountain.
