Sandra Bullock has become quite a figure in real estate. The Academy Award-winning actress, who owns multiple properties nationwide, has sold her home in Tybee Island, Georgia, which had spent a little under two years on the market.
The Tybee Island property includes a 3,360 square foot main house and a 2,848 square foot guest house, sold for $4.175 million. Bullock originally purchased the cottage and guest home in 2001 for $1.5 million.
This perfect Georgia vacation home sits on nearly three acres, made up of nine parcels at the northern end of the exclusive beach town. It also has private access to one of the most gorgeous white-sand beaches in the country and is a prime spot to watch for dolphins.
The two story main house holds seven bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms and is filled with beach themed decor. The living room includes double-height ceilings and a brick fireplace with reading nooks. The main suite which is located on the ground floor has its own sitting room and a freestanding claw-foot tub in the en suite bathroom. Located upstairs are the guest bedrooms, a den and a screened-in porch.
The guest house includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms, a full kitchen with dining space, and a living room with a modern fireplace. Amenities within the property include a game room, grill, and a crow’s nest for views of the ocean.
The grounds between the main estate and the guest home feature a basketball court, a large pool and spa, an outdoor shower, and private beach access.
Rachel Umbreit and Ruthie Lynah-Whitlow of Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty handled the sale.
