Haute Residence hosted a live real estate webinar with top international agents Kevin Crigger (Toronto, Canada), Tim Fenton (Costa Rica), Blake Harrington (Cabo, Mexico), and Anne Perry (Honolulu, Hawaii), moderated by Tim Lappen.
Each of the panelists provided their expert (not an exaggeration) knowledge of the real estate market at a local, national, and international level. The multiple time zones of the participants did not take away from their engagement with each other. Each of them learned something new from the others.

Highlight quotes:
Kevin Crigger: "We are seeing rental rates that are 40-50% above previous years, and a huge level of demand... Looking at the numbers now, we will probably see a decline in overall activity, which will take our transaction volumes to early 2000s levels, even though price levels are going upward."
Tim Fenton: "Entry-level in the domestic market will be a buyer's market, but the luxury market will remain, and become an even stronger, seller's market... Networking together is invaluable. As Anne (Perry) said, 'Your clients are our buyers'... In the last six days, we have had four offers. As people are sheltering in their primary residence, it's making them much more aware of their surroundings and they are looking to change as soon as they can."
Blake Harrington: "Service is at the top of the list when it comes to our fiduciary duty to our clients... We are working actively with our sellers. Our market has shown great strength for the last three years, growing 15-20% each year... We are still in a very solid market in Cabo, just that at this specific moment, it is a bit more challenging to put deals together. Opportune buyers are ready to offer cash but at the price that they want to pay.
Anne Perry: "Hawaii had a booming first two months of the year. As we went into the pandemic, the state has been shut down, but we are seeing activity. $1.5 million and below is very active, but the high-end luxury market in particular... With withdrawals coming off the market is taking inventory down. With so many people looking online, I tell my clients that they want to be one of the properties that are being shown because they may miss the opportunity right now with the number of eyes on social media and MLS listings."
