Paris Fashion Week has been a key event in the fashion world since 1973. There are nearly 100 runway shows taking place in the famous French capital the week of February 24th to March 5th, 2020.
Here’s the “IN” for Paris Fashion Week 2020, when absolutely everything in Paris is about fashion. Basically, there are two things to remember:
1. Make sure not to be a fashion victim. True fashion is all about freedom and definitely not about wearing any one haute couture designer from head to toe. Have fun and mix and match clothes and accessories with your own unique style. Reign by letting the true you shine through. Having a great walk when out and about is also a big plus! Walk with confidence while at fashion week.
2. Make sure you know where to go to see and be seen. Since you’ll be looking fabulous, it's important to know where to go. The most exclusive fashion parties during Paris Fashion Week are held in private residences and discreet locations in and around Paris and are the ultimate Paris Fashion Week experience if you are lucky enough to garner a personal invite. Yet, if you haven’t achieved a personal invitation to an exclusive private party, fear not. Here is my list of the best places to see and be seen while at one of the fashion industry’s biggest events of the year:
Book a reservation for lunch at the Le Bristol Hotel - Paris. You will learn quickly upon arrival that stars are not only in the sky but also lunching at The Bristol, 112 Rue Du Faubourg Saint Honore, Paris.
For a quick "drop-in" for celebrity and model viewing, grab a drink at the Le Bar Park Hyatt - Paris Vendome, 5 rue de la Paix, Park Hyatt Paris - Vendome, Paris.
Dinner (if you can get in) is fabulous at L’Avenue and the star gazing continues there throughout the night, 41 avenue Montaigne, Paris
Le Bar at the Hotel Plaza Athenee - Dorchester may present the biggest challenge, as it is traditionally packed with the Who’s Who of the fashion industry. Obtaining access during fashion week will make you a true fashion insider. Hotel Plaza Athenee, 25 Avenue Montaigne, Paris
Finally, the Four Seasons - Georges V in the 8th arrondissement of the “golden triangle” of Paris is always a welcome oasis and caters to fashion week’s most exclusive celebrity clientele. You’re likely to spot just about anyone “fashion fabulous” at the Georges V, 31, Avenue George V, Paris.
