Appropriately named “Seashore,” a 102-year-old stately brick mansion on Coronado island in San Diego, sits just before the seashore with a $13.5 million price tag.
Spanning roughly 250 feet––the most beach frontage on the island––along Ocean Boulevard, the 1915 William Hebbard-designed, eight-bedroom, six-bathroom residence has three balconies for oceanfront viewing.
The 7,140-square-foot house is a local landmark, known for its social soirees throughout the years, according to the listing.
It is unofficially referred to by the community as the “Velcro Mansion,” for its former owner Clark Hartwell, who earned his fortune as an early investor in the fastening product.
The new owner would have the opportunity to build out the basement and attic spaces.
The listing at 519 Ocean Boulevard is held by Jordan Cohen of RE/MAX Olson & Associates and Carrie O’Brien of Flagship Properties.
