The Pasadena home of Coralie Fitzharris-Milburn, who was one of Hollywood’s first female talent agents, is asking $7.6 million, Luxury Listings reported.
Fitzharris-Milburn also happens to be the goddaughter of famed late filmmaker, Cecil B. DeMille.
The French chateau-style estate, with eight bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, and 9,861 square feet of interior space, is known to have hosted countless gatherings for Hollywood elites, such as Dean Martin, Lawrence Welk, and Burt Lancaster, a few regular guests of the residence.
Designed with timeless architectural details––including imported Italian marble, rich woods, plaster detailing, and crystal chandeliers––the home was designed by architects Marston & Maybury and built in 1930 by Will Taylor, with the same materials and craftsmen used to build St. Andrews Church in Old Town Pasadena, the listing states.
Italian artist Carlo Wostry was commissioned to hand-paint murals at both properties.
Situated on nearly three acres, the gated estate boasts expansive lawns, flagstone terraces, lush gardens, and a stone barbecue house, with exceptional views of the Arroyo Seco, Annandale Golf Course, and downtown Los Angeles.
Through double front doors, you are greeted by a marble-lined hall, with a curved, black staircase, chiseled from solid black marble with handmade mahogany handrails. Above the staircase is a crystal chandelier.
The living room is designed with parquet-edged, oak floors and French doors leading out to the south garden.
Walnut paneling is featured in the library, and nine-foot-tall mirrors line the formal dining room.
An original Otis elevator is accessed on each floor.
