"The Lorraine" is a 160-squaure-foot living space located in rural New Hampshire that runs solely on solar energy.
Although small in size, it manages to offer a surprisingly homely feel due amenities such as a shower, a queen size bed, a two-burner stove, a toilet, a Coleman cooler, and a sink. There’s also access to bikes for those who want to take a ride through the surrounding terrain as well as pre-stocked food.
Coined a writer’s retreat, the tiny house––which only took about a month to build––features multiple writing areas.
The mobile home is also eco-friendly and relies on both solar power and smart home technology.
The Lorraine is presented by Getaway, a startup company based out of Harvard University that attempts to get city-dwellers out of, the city. “By doing our best to provide you with everything you need to break from routine, our goal is to help you hike your way back to balance,” states the company’s website.
