Cristiano Ronaldo, who is a forward for the Real Madrid CF, has recently purchased a plush loft in New York City at the Trump Towers, making him officially a New Yorker.
As reported by the New York Daily News, the Portuguese soccer player dished out $18.5 million for the luxury residence. The deal for the 2,509-square-foot loft in the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue was completed Wednesday, Aug. 12th.
The purchase of the posh residence has many alluding to a possible move to America. Ronaldo’s contract is slated to end in just two years.
So what ritzy conveniences can Ronaldo expect? With a private entrance on 56th street, The Trump Tower condominiums rise from the 30th to the 68th floor. The three-bedroom penthouse residences feature floor-to-ceiling windows, offering Ronaldo unobstructed views of Central Park and midtown Manhattan as well as access to Trump Tower’s three distinct dining facilities: the world-renowned Trump Grill, the more casual Trump Café, and Trump Bar. In addition, the luxury residences also feature the new Gucci flagship store, which occupies the Fifth Avenue corner of the building.
Only time will tell if Ronaldo will take his career across the pond.
The loft is formerly owned by Alessandro Proto, an Italian real-estate tycoon and business partner of the building's billionaire owner, Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
