After just 10 days on the market, Whoopi Goldberg’s Victorian-style compound in Berkeley, California, went under contract for almost double its asking price. The residence was listed late June for $1.275 million, and the Los Angeles Times reports that the home’s final purchase price was $2.025 million.
The 1890 property features a 1,455-square-foot main house and a 1,635-square-foot detached barn, each of which has bedrooms—three in the main house, one in the barn—plus a living room and a full kitchen. Between the two living spaces is a beautiful backyard expanse perfect for entertaining.
