British financier and billionaire heir Nat Rothschild is looking to unload his 5,000-square-foot bachelor pad in Manhattan's Meatpacking District for $17.5 million.
Located at 8 St. Luke's Place, the "light-filled, minimalist, and utterly private" home boasts a rather peculiar layout, featuring just one bedroom (plus a den/library that could probably be converted into another bedroom), and a huge catering kitchen its owner was so reluctant to install, he insisted it be placed in the basement.
Designed by famed English architect David Chipperfield, the tricked-out residence also has a cool roof deck complete with an outdoor shower (though sadly no pool), plus a rear glass curtain wall equipped with electronic shades to deter any peeping Toms.
Situated on a tree-lined street, the ritzy residence also has a patio out back surrounded by a landscaped garden.
