South African actress Charlize Theron’s has just sold her Blue Jay Way home for $3.8 million. Known as the home that inspired George Harrison to write his hit song “Blue Jay Way,” the mid-century property is close to Beverly Hills, Sunset Strip and Century City.
Theron purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom home in 2009 for $3.625 million, according to Zillow. It’s been on and off the market for about a year and was recently sold at $3.8 million, or $971 per square foot. The U-shaped home, which features 4,116 square feet, has walls of glass, a large screening room, a large living room, and a pool/spa that can be accessed from all sliding doors, according to the listing. With an open floor plan, this home features a unique indoor/outdoor living experience and the city has given verbal approval to built up to 28 ft and add square footage if desired by the new owner.
The home is located in what is known as the “Bird Streets,” a residential area perched above Los Angeles that features city views and neighbors like Jennifer Aniston, Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio and more.
