Tommy Hilfiger has put his New York City penthouse on the market once again, after trying to unload the lavish duplex—located on top of the Plaza—just last October.
The fashion icon first put the condo up for grabs for $50 million in 2008, back when it was still unfinished. After failing to attract a buyer, however, Hilfiger invested $20 million in giving the duplex a significant facelift.
Now asking $80 million (the same price tag it touted last fall), the updated listing grants much more insight into the the property's over-the-top interior—comprised of five bedrooms and 5.5 baths—than the property's previous posting.
Sitting on the 18th and 19th floors of the renowned hotel, the opulent dwelling is outfitted with eccentric furnishings set against a bold, noir backdrop. Despite its outrageous decor, however, its most noteworthy facet is the Plaza's iconic brick dome; nestled beside the home's private terrace, the diamond-checkered deck overlooks stunning views of Fifth Avenue and Central Park.
In addition, all residents of the Plaza enjoy 24-hour white-glove treatment, which includes maid, valet, and Todd English room service.
