Twenty-two year old R&B pop musician Chris Brown recently dropped $1.55 million on a new Hollywood Hills home after neighbor problems at his former West Hollywood penthouse apartment.
The recently built contemporary home clings to a steep slop in a quiet ravine above Lake Hollywood in a neighborhood known as the Hollywood Dell. Noted Los Angeles-based architect Jay Vanos designed the multi-level residence that sits high above the narrow and winding street. You can access the main portion of the house by either an exterior staircase or private elevator that whisks you up from the street level interior entry, past a separate guest quarters over the garage. There is an exterior glass-railed bridge that spans a plunge-sized swimming pool and spa.
Inside, there is a double-height living room with towering walls of glass and canyon views. This area also features a fireplace with flat-screen mounted above and ebony wood floors.
On the top level there is a master suite that is open to the bathroom and include a freestanding soaking tub, separate glassed-in shower stall and long, double sink vanity.
The 2,473 square foot, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home was custom designed, has a green roof and was outfitted with all the latest high-tech electronic gadgetry. For security, there is a state-of-the art audio and video system and around the home there is LED lighting displays, including in the swimming pool and Jacuzzi that lights up at the flip of a switch.
