Microsoft multi-billionaire Bill Gates and his wife Melinda have rumored to have recently leased some estate in the upscale gated equestrian community of Mallet Hill in Wellington, Florida for the 2012 Winter Equestrian Festival. Gates' daughter Jennifer plans to participate in the junior circuit, specifically competing in show jumping at the festival.
The cost? A whooping $600,000 for duration of the festival, which runs from January 11 through April 1. The 4.18 acre mall-sized estate boasts a Tuscan-style residency, with eight bedrooms and six bathrooms in the main house, and additional guest house with two additional bedrooms. Though far more traditional compared to the Gates’ far more technological savvy nature, the home flaunts a classy swank, with looming elegance touching each room, a heated pool, and an on-site equestrian facility.
According to RealEstalker.blogspot.com, the property is also up for grabs in the open market. Owned by real estate mogul George Banks, the asking price is a stunning $12,999,000. On Gossip Extra, it has also been reported that the Gates’ lease agreement includes the option to purchase the property. Though it may be too soon to call out anything, the estate seems too good to pass. Who knows, the residence of Mallet Hill may be welcoming a new family into their neighborhood soon.
