Displaying a fabulous, modern shape, this Hollywood Hills residence seems to have been built based on a specific dream. Amazingly, the designers, XTEN Architecture, recreated this home from a 1960's single family home. Located just below the iconic Hollywood sign, the residence’s architecture differentiates it from its neighbors. Its location in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles opens up the residence to extremely beautiful panoramic views. The sloping terrain was transformed into an opportunity to recreate the home design into a series of interconnected terraced spaces. The old foundation was kept in order to stick to the budget, but all the interiors were reconfigured.
Basing the architecture on the old foundation, the architects had to come up with a solution that would transform the old house into an amazing new and modern property. Nakahouse, as it was named, received a series of terraces built from all angles that take advantage of the panoramic views, while the interiors were kept contemporary and with a minimum use of colors. Vivid furniture items were added in the living room to construct the idea of a bright and modern lifestyle. The other spaces display a pure white design, crisp and solid, with only the shapes, patterns and materials differentiating them. The dark exterior contrasts with the public and private spaces on the inside, creating a picture-perfect design.
