277 5th Avenue Opens Sales With Big Numbers

Tucked away in NoMad, the city’s stylish and newly minted hot spot in the city, a new tower of residences by Rafael Vinoly, 277 5th Avenue, has listed its first units with huge success. The 55-story tower will cover 130 units between one and four bedrooms each, and boast some of the most incredible views in any direction from this center point of the city.

While midtown can be suffocating, and downtown feeling a bit lower to the ground and hip, NoMad strikes a perfect balance between the sophistication and elegance of the uptown crowd without sacrificing the proximity to some of the city’s best restaurants in Eleven Madison Park, theatre in The Public, and nightlife in Meatpacking.

“Given that views are the quintessence of Manhattan luxury, we created breathtaking panoramas by purchasing the air rights from six surrounding sites,” said Moshe Shuster, President of Victor Group, the buildings developers along with Lendlease. “This enabled us to prevent surrounding vertical growth that might jeopardize our residents’ views. It also allowed us to build desirable residences in a tower with four completely usable corners.”

The 130 distinguished one-to-four-bedroom homes will range in size from 828 to 4,520 square feet with pricing starting at approximately $2 million. Upper-floor residences will feature dramatic twenty foot tall living rooms and loggias – sheltered, open-air spaces that will be thoughtfully carved into the building’s corners. Move-ins are slated to begin at the close of 2018.

“At 277 Fifth Avenue, every residence enjoys the prestige of being a coveted corner apartment. With at least two exposures, each residence offers fantastic light and magnificent views in every direction,” stated Melissa Burch, Executive General Manager for Lendlease. “Residences begin over 100 feet above Fifth Avenue, providing picturesque treetop and cityscape views from all floors.”

Jeffery Beers, known as one of the best designers of restaurants and hotels in the city, designed the interiors of the spaces with luxury fixtures, immaculate countertops, and custom kitchens built with stone finishes, Italian marble, and plenty of storage. After all, this is still New York City.
