The best spots to...

Find entertainment:

Since South Beach and Downtown have scarified local live venues to condos and malls, come to the Design District and Midtown to see some great local live bands. Bardot in Midtown is a great late-night live venue. In the Design District, The Stage is a beautiful indoor-outdoor venue with great lineups; Churchill’s is a true institution; and the Embassy has an intimate yet electric ambiance with great bands and delicious food.

Go shopping:

Local Miami designers abound in the Midtown/Design District area. Don’t leave Miami without visiting Ramona La Rue in Midtown and Tanya Marie in the Design District. For chic and unique outfits, Anya Ponorovskaya, Trend, and En Avance are your go-to places in Design District. For casual and everyday wear, I love the Weekender and Rebel in the MiMo District. As far as furniture shopping, you will find the most beautiful industrial-chic vintage furnishing and accessories at Genuine and Unique in Wynwood.

Meet new people:

Panther Coffee in Wynwood is a great place to meet creative and interesting people, from venture capitalist to software developers and graffiti artists to art collectors.

Soak in a beach view:

The penthouse floors of Paramount Bay or Icon Bay in Edgewater have the most breathtaking ocean and bay views in Miami. Soon coming: Biscayne Beach, Crimson Tower and Paraiso Bay also in Edgewater will have absolutely amazing panoramas of the bay and the ocean.

Host a large social gathering:

The social room of Paramount Bay, with its fabulous chef’s kitchen and chef’s table is a great option. It was designed by Lenny Kravitz for Kravitz Designs.
