Barry Levinson, Real Estate Consultant with BEX Realty LLC, is a specialist in Southeast Florida properties. When asked about the best reasons to move to Florida, he gladly shared some of his insights with us. Perhaps not surprisingly, it's actually more difficult to find reasons not to move to Florida. After all, what's not to love about an area where nobody has to shovel snow, buy winter clothes, or search for great activities to enjoy? It's all right here.

The widely diverse availability of housing including beach and intracoastal homes with waterfront views, urban high-rise residences in dynamic downtown areas, and comfortable suburban neighborhoods in a range of housing costs from the very modest to over the top luxury estates allows something for those of nearly every economic group and age from millennials to boomers.

Along with an expanding economy and steady home equity growth, huge tax advantages provide many incentives to move here. In fact, Florida has one of the largest economies in the United States, fueled in part by tourism, agriculture, international trade, aerospace and aviation, life sciences, and financial services.

Individuals, businesses and entrepreneurs are all heading to Florida in part due to it being a no-income-tax state, and in addition, offering a homestead exemption on property taxes. These are tax saving incentives that are difficult to ignore when choosing where to live.

In addition, buyers in Florida are building up record amounts of home equity due to the rapidly rising values of today's competitive housing market. Amazingly, the equity in real estate has more than doubled since the last recession and property valuations are expected to continue to rise. The tri-county areas of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach saw a significant growth of home appreciation for the last three years.

In addition, Florida provides an astonishing quality of lifestyle in terms of accessibility to major airports, cruise ports and trains, availability of world class medical services and facilities, shopping, dining, cultural events, educational opportunities, and with its amazing natural beauty seen not only at the beaches, reefs, and everglades wildlife areas, but throughout the state parks, agricultural areas, and botanical gardens.

Barry Levinson believes that Florida's growth and diversity of housing opportunities, in addition to the tax advantages and quality of life offered here, in combination make the area an unbeatable value for nearly everyone.
