The W1 London, Boutique Residences Exuding Character and Individuality

The W1 London, the eagerly anticipated boutique development on Marylebone High Street, has been unveiled by Sir Peter Wood’s W-One International. Comprising 19 apartments, including three penthouses and five contemporary townhouses, the scheme will exude character and individuality, aided by the retention of the original 1930s heritage façade to embrace Marylebone’s identity of individuality rather than conformity.

Designed by Dixon Jones Architects, the development transforms the former BBC radio headquarters and will comprise a mix of two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as a four-bedroom penthouse with a separate studio apartment and two three-bedroom lateral sub penthouses. The four-bedroom, three-story townhouses will be nestled behind the high street and accessed via the secluded Beaumont Mews.

Renowned interior architects, Darling Associates, are responsible for the interior layouts and specification within the development. The penthouses will each boast a combination of east-, south-, or western-facing terraces, which maximize London skyline views and provide residents with panoramic sights of the city’s most iconic landmarks. All apartments will benefit from spacious living spaces, dressing areas, and separate utility rooms to maximize kitchen space as well as underfloor heating and air-conditioning. There will be an impeccable attention to detail throughout, including hand-selected marble sourced from Italy in all the bathrooms.

Classic design studio, Sophie Paterson Interiors, has been appointed for the interior furnishings and decor. Each of the apartments will have beautifully considered powder rooms, with bespoke fitted vanity units, beautiful silk wallpaper, and decorative lighting. The bathrooms will boast exquisite marble on the floors and walls, with some comprising his-and-hers sinks and uniquely, his-and-her showers.

The development is ideally situated for convenient transport and is located just a 10-minute walk from Marylebone, Regent’s Park, Baker Street, and Bond Street tube stations. Bond Street will also benefit from the much-anticipated Crossrail service providing reduced travel times to the city and Heathrow Airport, among other areas. It is also under a 10-minute drive from London Victoria and London St. Pancras International for overseas travel. Further global connectivity via London Heliport, London Heathrow, and London City Airport is achieved in under an hour––ideal for international business meetings and weekend away.

Prices start at £4.1 million ($5,215,200), with the three-bedroom sub penthouse available for £12.5 million ($15,906,250). Residences will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2017.
