111 West 57th Street in Manhattan, known locally as Steinway Tower, is the second tallest residential building on this half of the globe. Soaring directly over Central Park, it’s a huge bite out of the Big Apple.

Developed by JDS Development Group, Property Markets Group, and Spruce Capital Partners, the tower stands at 1,428 ft. and offers a total of 60 residences; 46 in the main tower and 14 in the original Steinway Hall structure directly adjacent. The outside of the tower itself is a marvel to behold: the southern side of the structure features setbacks that ascend gracefully to the top of the building, while the east and west feature an intricate facade crafted from terra-cotta. On the north side, the building is made up of shimmering panes of floor-to-ceiling windows, offering residents an unbeatable vantage point to view Central Park and the city below.

Residents of 111 West 57th Street can look forward to a luxurious array of amenities: the tower will include a massive swimming pool with cabanas alongside, sauna and steam rooms, a high-ceiling fitness center with a terrace, a private lounge area, several curated dining room options, and meeting rooms to mix business with pleasure. It will also be the only new development in Manhattan to feature a padel court. For the Steinway Tower, first-rate service is a given: the building will feature around-the-clock attended entrances and a well-staffed concierge service to ensure total comfort and ease of mind during residents’ stay.

Respecting the architecture that came before it, developers of the new 111 West 57th Street Tower coordinated with the Landmarks Preservation Commission of New York to restore the Steinway Hall building’s facade and rotunda, deftly accenting the already gorgeous structure. In addition to the restoration project, a lavish central lobby designed by Studio Sofield has been constructed to connect Steinway Hall to the main tower. The area acts as a foray into the luxurious accommodations awaiting residents, with a beautiful finish of marble, limestone, velvet, and original hardwood flooring from Steinway Hall.

With no stone left unturned, developers are excited to announce that residences in the main tower have just started closings, with living spaces as detailed and meticulously crafted as the rest of the structure. For the city that never sleeps, 111 West 57th Street may be one of the best spots to rest your head in New York City. Prices range from $7,750,000 to $66,000,000.

For more information, visit the tower’s website at www.111w57.com.

It's officially summer in the city and while you may be making plans for summer camp or daycare, these luxury developments are introducing kids amenities to show love for their little residents, just as much as they do for their older residents. Here are six residential developments that are kid-friendly.

5 River Park

5 River Park, the first new building in the River Park mega-project on the rise in Cobble Hill, which has over 20,000 square feet of amenities, meaning residents of the 25 apartments won’t have to worry about overcrowding. The three-floor amenities space features a private playground for kids, while parents can relax at the adjacent outdoor living room. Afterward, the family can cool off at the in-ground pool, or if it’s rainy, play inside at the jungle-themed kid’s room.

Feel that? Summer is just around the corner, but before we can revel in lazy days oceanside in the Hamptons, we bask in the lukewarm rays of spring. Here at Haute Living, we like to do our basking from the top, and in Manhattan, there is no shortage of rooftop terraces to take advantage of. Here are four sky-high outdoor terraces to help you welcome spring.

Two Waterline Square Penthouse B

Photo credit: Noe and Associates with the Boundar

New York’s transformative luxury residential project, Waterline Square, has just released its first penthouse and with it comes an immense private outdoor living space. Located in the largest and tallest of the three towers, the glamorous Two Waterline Square Penthouse B crowns the 38th floor, showcasing uninterrupted views of the Hudson River and all of Manhattan. The sprawling terrace is the best place to take in the view, soak up the sun and watch the city hustle and bustle below. The terrace is furnished with a hot tub, generous seating areas, a fireplace and an outdoor kitchen, perfect for outdoor entertaining. The penthouse is currently listed for $17.25 million.

40 Bleecker

Courtesy of 40 Bleecker

NoHo’s newest and highly anticipated 12-story ground-up luxury condominium also released one of the last remaining penthouses in the building, listed for $15.5 million. Penthouse E boasts one-of-a-kind interiors by designer-to-the-stars and celeb-favorite interior designer, AD100 Ryan Korban, and a wraparound terrace. With 830 square feet of exterior space, landscape designer, Edmund Hollander creates a beautiful outdoor terrace with sweeping views of New York City—a rarity for NoHo.

555 West End Avenue

This stunning 3-bedroom residence inside 555 West End Avenue, a historic Beaux Arts Catholic school-turned luxury condo is listed for $18 million. Borne from the school’s former gymnasium, the Solarium Penthouse features a private south-facing terrace, perfect for basking in the sun and enjoying the beautiful spring weather. Inside, the home pairs the volume of a downtown loft with the elegance of classic uptown residence, including soaring barrel-vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows.

56 Leonard

Photo credit: Alexander Severin Architectural Photography

Perched over 700 feet in the sky, Penthouse 57 at 56 Leonard, spoils its resident with 1,763 square feet of outdoor living spaces spread across three sizeable terraces and balconies. A 1,200 square-foot south and east facing wrap-around terrace with seamless indoor-outdoor entertaining can easily seat over 30 guests, ideal for a cocktail or formal dinner party. Sit back relax and enjoy the views from Midtown to the Atlantic Ocean with vast expenses over the East River and Brooklyn. The 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom home is listed for $29.5 million.

Standing more than 1,000 feet in the air is a glass and limestone tower, dubbed 35 Hudson Yards, which has become the tallest residential building in the Hudson Yards neighborhood. Featuring architecture by David Child’s and Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill; interiors by designer Tony Ingrao; and an array of elevated in-building lifestyle services provided by the world’s first Equinox Hotel, this luxury building is the beginning of a new way to vertical living.

One57, an apartment by Extell, boasts glittery accents and streamlined designs. By all means, it should look a little guilded…this ambitious and incredibly expensive building features apartments ranging up to $90M for the luxury buyer. Exceptional views make this building a new statement in New York, and buyers like Silas Chou (who purchased a unit for around $50M) and a group of hedge fund executives (including William Ackman) are just a few examples of the luxury culture this building will have upon opening.

As we said before, each apartment features custom detailing, fine natural finishes, and incredible central park views seen through massive glass walls. With multi-million dollar price tags, we assume customers will have a lot to do with the design of their own individual apartments, but luxurious modern designs will come standard.

According to The Wall Street Journal, around 70% of the building’s units have already sold.
