How did the third quarter of 2020 real estate perform in Seattle and Pacific Northwest region?

As buyer’s and seller’s road maps shift, we are seeing signs of new eyes on Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. Demand has increased exponentially for homes on larger in-city lots, homes with privacy and acreage, homes with pools or the ability to install a pool, waterfront homes, island getaways (as primary residences), country estates and ranches.

How has your market been doing so far this year compared to this time last year?

With a surge in buyer activity coming out of California we are experiencing a significantly stronger market and seeing much higher demand than a year ago.

Do you expect a more or less active 4th quarter for this year than previous years?

Our fourth-quarter sales continue with robust activity with an influx of buyers who can work remotely. With no state income tax in Washington, Californians see an increased income of 13% or more. Additionally, we have always been a destination for those individuals about to experience a significant financial event.

I could go here for a full vacation and never strap into skis and have just as incredible of a time. Not to mention, the same reason people are flocking here because tourists in Aspen hog all the fresh powder, think of how much cocoa you’ll be able to drink while they’re all out skiing. Just saying, as a note to all the non-skiers out there….)

The property is also moved to a luxury lifestyle. The cabins are a beautiful way to relax and take in the great outdoors in the region, while still being able to put your own spin on how to live in the area. Chockfull of built-ins, this contemporary ski chalet tucked within the French Alps makes the most out of its tiny footprint with its smart utilization of bunk beds, hidden storage space, and streamlined circulation.

"Rather than trying to fit the furniture into the apartment, we decided to fit the apartment into the furniture," says architect Antoine Santiard of H2O Architectes. "However absurd [the concept] may seem, it immediately alleviated all the constraints linked to laying out tight spaces."

The wool curtain dividing the space was crafted by Arpin, a local company, while the featured custom track is by G-Rail.
