The design firm has recently received praise for their continued growth and success and are currently shortlisted for the 2022 International Design & Architecture Awards.

Haute Design recently spoke to Jasmin Reese to discuss this special moment and what it all means to her.

Haute Design: How did your participation in the running for this award come about?

Jasmin Reese:

The Manager of the International Hotel and Property Awards and Senior Awards Coordinator reached out to me to see if I had any projects I would like to submit. There were several different categories to choose from and I selected Living Space in the Americas, Residential Project Value at 1-2.5Million and Luxury Space in Americas. We are shortlisted for all three.

HD: What are the criteria for winning this award?

JR: Good Photography is key, my photographer, Michael Alan Kaskel, is simply amazing. The awards' voting process really sets them apart from other awards. Instead of a small judging panel of 10-20 professionals, they have an average of 70,000 industry professionals voting over the four-week period, taking 53 minutes to complete a vote. The coverage, scope and reach of this process is incredible. Objective, fair, a true competition with winners decided by the industry itself.

Design et al Magazine and The International Design & Architecture Awards have run this ceremony for the past 13 years to promote the global interior design & architecture industry and bring together the design elite of this industry for an international celebration of designers and architects. They are recognized as "one of the leading authorities in the global interior design and architecture industry” and “represent some of the world's leading design names."

HD: What does it mean to be recognized among the potential winners of these awards?

JR: Having your work shortlisted in these awards is believed to be "the pinnacle of recognition within the industry." Only the best of interior design and architecture can be shortlisted.

HD: To what would you credit this award the most?

JR: My team is amazing. They work really hard, and of course, my clients, who trusted me to do something bold in their home. I'm very happy for the level of trust they have given me!

During Art Basel, one of the most highly-anticipated times of the year in South Florida, Pedini was present for one of the most exciting events of the season. Together with esteemed luxury brand Braman Miami, Haute Living celebrated world-renowned artist and Haute Living cover star, Romero Britto. The Brazilian artist was presented with a one-of-a-kind Bentley Continental GT Convertible.

Speaking of events, Pedini Miami collaborated with Haute Living Media Group in two separate Haute Leaders Dinners in 2021. Haute Living and Pedini Miami joined forces at Marion Miami to host the Haute Leaders dinner for the month of July. While Haute Living hosts their Leaders dinners every month, this was the first of which was held in collaboration with Pedini.

In October, Haute Living presented the latest installment of its Haute Leaders Dinner Series in collaboration with MG Developer and Pedini Miami at the brand-new Althea Row Residences in Coral Gables. MG Developer's recent Coral Gables project, Althea Row, was revealed in full display to all present at the Haute Leaders Dinner. The gorgeous multi-story residence that hosted the event served as the model home for residences in Althea Row. Guests were welcomed with glasses of wine as they appreciated the stunning setting that would serve as the evening's gorgeous backdrop.

Vice President of Pedini Miami, David Rousso Jr., was also in attendance for 2021's Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. FLIBS is recognized as the largest in-water boat show in the world. Located steps from the beach in sunny South Florida, FLIBS spans nearly 90 acres across three million square feet of exhibit space that is connected by an intricate network of water and ground transportation services. Haute Living Media Group, in collaboration with Fraser Yachts and TopDevz, provided a Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show experience that will go down in history.

Pedini Miami also executed several exciting luxury design projects throughout 2021. A few highlights would be their Knoxville Manor, located in the Shenandoah region of Miami, the stunning home provides the feeling of a garden oasis. Additionally, Pedini's collaborations with esteemed design firm, mr Alex TATE and renowned interior designer, Carolina Freyre, truly left a mark on the industry and confirmed Pedini's status in the luxury design landscape.

It’s a wrap!

It’s official: 2021 is over and in spite of its many challenges, it was a terrific year for Beverly Hills real estate.

As anticipated, supply and demand continued to heat the market, and low inventory inspired buyers to move quickly and decisively. Sellers and buyers of estate properties—and their agents—found ways to work around social distancing issues and transactions were brisk and efficient.

As the year progressed with its tremendous activity, the Joyce Rey team demonstrated once again that knowledge, integrity, and flexibility are key. A record-breaking career of more than four decades has confirmed that philosophy—and we’ve made it part of our daily interaction with clients and with each other.

When it comes to record-breaking, my 2019 sale of the Chartwell Estate in Bel Air held the honor in California until the Warner Estate was sold in 2020. This year, Malibu took the prize with the $177 million sale of a Paradise Cove oceanfront compound. It was California’s highest single-family home sale ever, if still behind New York’s 220 Central Park South penthouse purchase in 2019 at $238 million—a record I’d love to break! Interestingly, in each of these recent California record sales, the price has gone up even as the acreage has gone down.

The other record that was broken in 2021 is a personal one. In my long career, I have never before put two properties into escrow on New Year’s Eve, but this year I ended 2021 on that high note!

I think an auspicious close to one year signals an extraordinary start to the next and I predict an amazing 2022 for the Westside luxury marketplace.
