The privilege of designing the pavilion at Milan Expo 2015 will go to one dedicated (and lucky) designer chosen by Malcom Reading Consultants. The first Expo was held back in London in 1851, and Paris’ Expo resulted in the Eiffel Tower…needless to say, this particular competition yields some pretty impactful results.

This year’s theme is “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life,” and the competition will launch on the third week in January.

The previous winner, Thomas Heatherwick, designed for UK Pavilion, Shanghai Expo 2010 and eventually won the London Design Medal.
