New York’s first annual NYCxDesign event boasts 12 days of design exhibitions, installations, open studios, launches, and discussions to awaken the senses and make way for the future of artful design. Created for design lovers everywhere, NYCxDesign hopes to “create a platform for cultural and commercial opportunities, elevate established and emerging design practices and increase awareness of and appreciation for design by all audiences.”

NYCxDesign is the product of a collaboration between the Mayor’s Office, City Council, and a variety of agencies and will be hosted in several locations across all five boroughs and will list event details on their website. The event will be held from May 1st through May 21st to celebrate many types of design, and the event is free to visitors.
