A Swinging Good Time: Vitra’s Swinging Sofa

When it comes to office furniture, it's difficult to find pieces which are both aesthetically pleasing as well as restive for tired workers. However, the Berlin-based Studio Aisslinger has created a fabulous new swinging sofa for Vitra.

The Swing Sofa's designers Werner Aisslinger and Nicole Losos said the piece allows workers to relax and contemplate so “overly forceful pushes are prevented by a spring integrated into the upper beam, which prevents the swing from exceeding its natural bounds within the office.”

This piece is available in either white or yellow, with a metal A-frame structure. The sofa got its debut last week at the Orgatec trade fair in Cologne, Germany.
