A decorative screen may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of glamorous home décor, though they are functional and provide a fantastic opportunity to add color and texture to your luxurious home interior.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the origination of the privacy screen began with the use of carved panels in the third century B.C. in China that featured beautiful painted scenery and patterns. From there, the screens were traded by the English and Dutch, and the panels were also later adopted by the Japanese.
Privacy screens can break up large, modern interiors to create smaller, cozier spaces while adding visual interest and are available in a wide range of colors and styles to suit your design aesthetic.
